Be Brave

Those are the golden words scrawled on my pocket size travel journal. Tomorrow I go on a journey I would’ve never fathomed. I suppose it’s the perfect conclusion to a less than typical year!

If you had asked me this time a year ago what I wanted for 2018, I would’ve have simply stated, “to survive it.” But somehow I did more than survive a year that was in many ways the most challenging year of my life.

I think the most inspiring part for me was the people I’ve had the opportunity to share it with and the amazing adventures we’ve had. Hence my inspiration for this blog, to share the beauty I find in this world to inspire courage, creativity, and fun. Sometimes our most unexpected adventures are the ones that make it all worthwhile. This year I’ve traveled to:

Boone, North Carolina

Nashville, Tennessee

Atlanta, Georgia Orlando, Florida

Colorado Springs & Denver, Colorado Anchorage, Alaska

Montgomery, Alabama

And, finally, drum roll.....SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA!

Why Seoul you might ask? Well, honestly, it wasn’t on the top of my bucket list either, but I met this amazing man and his life journey has led him there. When he asked me to visit, I was terrified. I’ve never been on an international flight alone. I can’t begin to imagine how different life must be. But this is my new adventure with him and I just have to remind myself “be brave.”
